Thunderstorm 09.19.05

I haven't seen many thunderstorms in SoCal that could compare to the ones that we get back home, but the ones yesterday were just beautiful.

Like mother like daughters........

San Juan Capistrano - 09.18.05

Anyone who hasn't taken the Ortega Highway from Lake Elsinore through the mountains and into San Juan Capistrano is missing the most beautiful scenic drive.... Here are some of our pictures... We want to go back again soon (with jackets... brrrr.... it was a bit cold)....

These pictures are from our walk through the Historic District.... They really LOVED the train station... it didn't matter where we were ... everytime they heard the trains coming the girls were doing a mad dash for the tracks... one of the Engineers made Caitlyn's day and talked to her through the window while he was waiting for the passengers to unload and board... (I think we are going to be taking a train ride down to San Diego soon....*grin*... what I won't do for my girls!)

The mission was nothing short of spectacular... even though we got there WAY too close to closing time it was worth every penny...John and I have visited dozens of missions throughout Texas and California ... and I have to say that San Juan Capistrano is the most impressive that I have ever seen...

It was a great day.
